Memori
Privacy policy
App: Memori (com.vxtory.memori) · Developer: Vxtory, 3rd Floor, Island Central Mactan, Lapu Lapu City, 6015, Philippines · Last updated 21 October 2026.
In short
Memori keeps the things you want to remember (notes, photos, documents, voice notes and to-dos) and lets you ask about them in text or voice chat. To answer, your memories are processed by AI providers on our behalf. We never sell your data, and Memori has no ads and no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting trackers.
What we collect and why
- Account. Your name and email. If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, email, name and profile picture. If you sign up with email: a password, stored only as a secure hash, and the code we email you to verify it.
- Profile, if you add them. A mobile number and a short bio.
- Your memories. What you save: text notes, photos, scans, PDFs and voice notes, with their title, the text read from them, an AI summary, tags, amounts, dates and the category you choose. The files themselves are stored too.
- To-dos, categories and insights. Your to-dos and their times, your categories, and the summaries and insights Memori generates for you.
- Chats. Your text chat messages and Memori's answers, and the transcript of voice chats (what you said and what Memori said), with links to the memories each answer used.
- Credits. Your credit balance and history: what each action cost, and for each credit pack you buy, the Google Play order ID, the pack, the price paid and the credits added. Card and payment details are handled by Google Play; we never see them.
- Invites. Your invite code, and if you joined through a friend's invite link, which account invited you (read from the Google Play install referrer).
- Notifications. The in-app notices Memori shows you, such as a memory being ready or credits running low.
We use this only to run Memori for you: to store and search your memories, answer your questions, keep your credits, and keep your account secure.
Your voice and the camera
- Microphone is used only when you record a voice note or start a voice chat.
- Voice chat goes live from your phone to OpenAI, whose speech model hears you and answers. The audio does not pass through our servers and we do not record it; the written transcript is saved in your chat history.
- Voice notes are sent to OpenAI to be written out as text. The recording is kept with the memory if you save it.
- Camera is used only when you take a photo or scan a code to save as a memory.
- Memori's answers come from AI. They can be wrong; check anything important against the original memory.
Who sees what
- Your memories, chats and to-dos are visible only to you in the app.
- Service providers (below) process them on our behalf to provide Memori.
- Nobody else. We do not sell or rent personal data and do not share it for advertising.
Service providers
We use these providers to run Memori. They process data on our behalf:
- OpenAI: understanding and answering your questions, titles and summaries of your memories, the search index of your memories (embeddings), writing out voice notes, and voice chat. It receives your question and the memories used to answer it, the text of your memories, your voice in voice notes and voice chats, and your first name in voice chats, so Memori can greet you by it. OpenAI processes it under its API terms.
- Google Cloud and Firebase: Google Sign-In, our servers (Cloud Run in Singapore), file storage for your photos, documents and recordings (Cloud Storage), background processing (Cloud Tasks), reading the text in photos and scans (Cloud Vision), server logs (Cloud Logging), and Google Play for purchases, install referrer and app updates.
- MongoDB Atlas: our database (your account, memories, chats, to-dos and credits).
- Qdrant: the search index of your memories, used to find the right memory for a question.
- Redis: a short-lived cache (minutes to a day) that makes search and chat faster.
- Resend: sending the sign-up and password-reset codes to your email.
On your phone and in our logs
The app keeps diagnostic logs on your phone for 7 days. They stay on your phone. Our servers log each request (which feature, when, your account ID) to keep Memori working and secure; passwords, codes and tokens are removed, but a short preview of a message can appear. Server logs are kept for a limited time and are not used for anything else.
How long we keep it and deleting it
- Your memories, files, chats, to-dos and insights are kept until you delete them. There is no automatic expiry.
- Delete a memory in the app and its files and search index entry are deleted with it. Clear chat deletes your chat history.
- Settings → Delete All Data deletes all your memories, files, search index, chats, to-dos, notifications and insights at once. Your account and credit history stay, so you can keep using Memori.
- To delete your account as well, see how to delete your Memori account and data, also without the app.
- Records of credit purchases are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- To ask what we hold about you, or to correct it, write to us through vxtory.com/contact. We handle personal data in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Children
Memori is not meant for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and your files are reached only through links that expire within an hour. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can reach your data to what the service needs.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Questions: vxtory.com/contact.
